The *12th edition* of the Lagos First Generation Heritage Colleges Association (LAFGHECA) Intercollegiate Games was held in grand style at *Federal Government College, Ijanikin*. The 2025 event showcased the finest student-athletes from some of Lagos’ oldest and most prestigious secondary schools in an exciting blend of sports, culture, and camaraderie.

Students from across the state arrived at the host campus, filled with pride and anticipation. The opening ceremony featured a powerful speech by *Mr. Olanrewaju T. Adebambo*, President of LAFGHECA, who welcomed all dignitaries and introduced the participating school heads.

The event was chaired by Otunba Dele Olapeju, Chairman of the LAFGHECA Board of Trustees, whose inspiring remarks energized the crowd. Barr. Oladipo Awe, the special guest of honour, was ably represented.

The day began with a colourful march-past from participating schools and a cultural performance by the Chinese Embassy Cultural Exchange programmeβ€”adding a rich, global dimension to the celebration.

-From javelin to high jump, and 100m sprints to 4x400m relays, the competition was intense. Indoor games like chess were also featured, showcasing not just athletic strength, but strategic skill and sharp minds.
