NSC Leadership Oversees Zonal Eliminations for 22nd National Sports Festival

The National Sports Commission (NSC) leadership is supervising the zonal eliminations for team sports at the 22nd National Sports Festival, taking place across various centers in Nigeria. States are competing for spots in different zonal centers, including Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Kaduna, Plateau, and Yobe, for various team sports at the festival, scheduled for May in Ogun State ¹.

The NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, are visiting some of the centers to ensure a hitch-free zonal elimination process. Dikko emphasized the importance of the zonal elimination, stating that it’s as crucial as the festival itself. He outlined the commission’s determination to host a successful competition, incorporating global best practices.

The Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade noted that the commission has provided necessary logistics for all zones to host successful qualifications. He stated that the Gateway Games in Ogun State will be one of the best-organized games in festival history, requiring well-organized zonal eliminations.
