LEAD FORTE GATE HOLDS 8TH BIENNIAL INTER-HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION

 

Lagos, Nigeria – February 20, 2025

Lead-Forte Gate Primary and College campuses recently hosted their 8th Biennial Inter-House Sports Competition at the UNILAG Sports Complex, Akoka, Lagos.

Stepping into Excellence! The event kicks off with a brilliant and precision march pass

The event, which brought together students from both campuses as well as invited schools, was a showcase of athletic excellence, team spirit, and cultural heritage. This year’s competition was chaired by Mr. Adeyanju Adelakun, who delivered a keynote address at the opening ceremony.

The event kicked off with a colorful march past by students representing the various houses, featuring local costumes and a military-style procession. The march past was notable for the gallantry display by the female students, who dominated the procession and led the crowd in a display of pure military style.

The competition featured a wide range of athletic events, including track and field, team sports, and other contests, with participants ranging from toddlers to college students. The event was filled with excitement and suspense as students showcased their skills and competed for top honors.

At the end of the competition, the winners were announced, with Sapphire House taking the top spot in the primary category, followed by Jade House, Garnet House, and Onyx House. In the college category, Onyx (Yellow) House emerged as the winner, followed by Blue (Sapphire) House, Green (Jade) House, and Red (Garnet) House.

The winners received their awards, and the event closed with a stunning cheerleading performance by Yellow House, who won the 2025 cheerleading competition.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of the School Board expressed gratitude to sponsors, parents, invited guests, the press, teachers, staff, and students for their contributions to the successful hosting of the event.
